About the Role
Amreli Steels Limited, Pakistan's leading steel manufacturing corporation, is seeking an Accounts Assistant at its Karsaz office in Karachi. The role focuses on verifying customer collections, processing accounts receivable transactions, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing daily collection status reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Post customer collections and payment receipts in accounting software after verifying against official bank statements.
- Verify online customer payments and generate official payment confirmation acknowledgments.
- Prepare and circulate daily collection status reports to senior finance and sales management.
- Liaise with commercial banking partners and sales teams to resolve credit and receipt discrepancies.
- Obtain periodic bank statements and execute accurate monthly bank reconciliations.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Graduation in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / BBA / BS Accounting & Finance) completed or in final stages.
- Fresh graduate to 1 year of hands-on experience in corporate bookkeeping or accounts receivable.
- Solid understanding of bank reconciliation statements and basic double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (spreadsheets, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and disciplined work habits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with SAP ERP or Oracle Financials modules.
- Prior internship or trainee experience in a manufacturing or industrial enterprise.
