Accounts Executive
About the Role
UTM Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to join its finance department in Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. The role handles general ledger accounting, tax withholding, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions, vouchers, journal entries, and general ledger postings.
- Handle withholding tax (WHT) deductions, sales tax, FBR filings, and tax documentation maintenance.
- Perform monthly bank, vendor, and customer ledger reconciliations, investigating and clearing variances.
- Maintain accurate transactions and chart of accounts using enterprise ERP (Odoo) software.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and management reports in MS Excel.
- Support external and internal audit teams during year-end financial examinations.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.Com, BBA (Finance), or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- 5–6 years of hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience in a commercial or manufacturing enterprise.
- Strong command over Pakistani tax laws including Withholding Tax, Sales Tax, and FBR portal procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise with ERP systems (preferably Odoo) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and disciplined adherence to closing schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Part-qualified CMA / ACCA or CA Inter.
- Work experience in industrial or manufacturing accounts in Korangi/Karachi.
