Accounts Officer
About the Role
Punjab Group is hiring an Accounts Officer at its Head Office in Lahore to handle general ledger accounting, intercompany fund reconciliations, vendor payment vouchers, and SAP ERP transaction entries.
Key Responsibilities
- Record accounting transactions including bank payments, receipts, cash vouchers, and general journal entries
- Process and verify payments to external educational vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Coordinate and execute intercompany fund transfers and maintain inter-entity reconciliation schedules
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements for local and foreign currency bank accounts and resolve unreconciled items
- Support senior finance management with month-end closing activities, balance sheet schedules, and annual audit files
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or BBA (Finance)
- 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Hands-on exposure to SAP ERP financial modules (SAP FI/CO) is mandatory
- Sound comprehension of general ledger posting, withholding taxes, and financial controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data consolidation)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior accounting experience within large educational institutions, corporate head offices, or conglomerates
