Area Sales Manager - Rural Business
About the Role
Ismail Industries Limited is seeking an Area Sales Manager - Rural Business in Hyderabad to lead distribution networks, implement Route-to-Market strategies, and drive FMCG confectionery sales across rural Sindh.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual sales volume targets for confectionery and snack brands across rural market zones
- Design and execute Route-to-Market (RTM) models to expand distribution coverage in underserved rural towns and villages
- Establish and develop new rural distribution hubs, wholesale coverage points, and sub-distributor partnerships
- Manage secondary stock replenishment, last-mile delivery logistics, and stock availability at rural retail outlets
- Supervise, train, and mentor territory sales managers, delivery sales representatives, and booking teams
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant discipline
- 6 to 10 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 3 to 5 years supervising rural sales or distribution networks
- In-depth understanding of rural distribution economics, wholesale channels, and distributor financial viability
- Proficiency in sales force automation (SFA) software and Microsoft Excel for territory analytics
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive distribution experience across rural Sindh and deep knowledge of confectionery or food snacking markets
