Assistant Director - Regional Services (BPS-17)
About the Role
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Main Campus, Islamabad is recruiting an Assistant Director Regional Services (BPS-17). The official coordinates nationwide regional campus operations, student support services, examination center logistics, and distance learning administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative, academic, and student facilitation activities across AIOU's 54 regional campuses nationwide.
- Supervise the distribution of course learning packages, digital LMS access, and student inquiry handling systems.
- Coordinate logistics for semester examinations, tutor allocations, study centers, and workshop venues across regional hubs.
- Process regional budget requisitions, expenditure statements, and administrative approvals in line with university statutes.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of regional campuses and submit periodic evaluation reports to the Director General.
- Handle student appeals, admission discrepancies, and degree verification matters escalated from regional offices.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Second Class Master's Degree (16 years education) or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university.
- 3–5 years of relevant administrative or academic coordination experience in a government department, autonomous body, or reputable university.
- Solid knowledge of university governance, distance learning systems, and public administration rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Urdu, with high drafting competence.
- Maximum age limit up to 37 years (inclusive of general government age relaxation).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distance learning systems, e-admissions, and learning management systems (Aaghi LMS).
- Strong command of government office procedures and file tracking.
