Assistant Manager - Alumni Relations
About the Role
The University of Management and Technology (UMT) is seeking an Assistant Manager Alumni Relations for the School of Systems & Technology in Lahore. The position spearheads alumni engagement campaigns, corporate linkages, networking summits, and institutional community building.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain proactive relationships with School of Systems and Technology alumni and corporate partners.
- Plan and execute high-impact alumni networking summits, guest speaker sessions, reunions, and mentorship workshops.
- Manage, clean, and enrich the centralized alumni contact database, tracking career trajectories and institutional engagement.
- Produce engaging digital content and newsletters across LinkedIn, social media, and university portals to spotlight alumni achievements.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to create student internship placements, capstone industry sponsorships, and research linkages.
- Prepare periodic engagement reports and analytics to inform university advancement strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in communications or public relations.
- Demonstrated track record in alumni relations, corporate affairs, event management, or public relations in higher education.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM database management, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and digital communication tools.
- Strong organizational acumen with proven ability to plan and coordinate multi-stakeholder university events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a reputable Pakistani or international higher education institution.
- Demonstrated competency in social media community management and graphic design coordination.
