About the Role
MCB Funds (MCB Investment Management) is hiring an Assistant Manager Corporate Affairs and Taxation at its Karachi Head Office to manage board meeting secretarial compliance, SECP statutory filings, and tax submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Company Secretary in organizing Board of Directors, Board Committee, and Annual General Meetings (AGM)
- Draft board minutes, corporate resolutions, notices, and prepare board meeting documentation packs
- Ensure timely statutory filings and regulatory compliance with SECP, NBFC Rules, Non-Banking Regulations, and PSX
- Handle direct and indirect corporate tax compliance, withholding tax returns, and coordination with tax advisors
- Maintain official statutory books, register of members, and facilitate external secretarial and tax audits
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law / Commerce, part-qualified ICMA / ACCA, or certification in corporate secretarial practice
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate secretarial affairs and corporate taxation
- Sound comprehension of the Companies Act 2017, NBFC regulations, and Pakistani Income Tax Ordinance
- High organizational precision, confidentiality, and time management skills
- Excellent written English communication and corporate drafting abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an Asset Management Company (AMC), mutual fund, or brokerage house in Pakistan
