Assistant Manager Mechanical (Plant Maintenance)
About the Role
ACT Polyols Private Limited is hiring an Assistant Manager Mechanical for its industrial manufacturing plant in Nooriabad to supervise mechanical maintenance, optimize equipment uptime, and manage plant utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise plant-wide mechanical maintenance operations covering preventive, predictive, and corrective breakdown activities
- Develop and implement scheduled preventive maintenance plans to ensure high equipment availability and operational reliability
- Analyze mechanical equipment failures and root causes, implementing sustainable corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Manage spare parts inventory, technical consumption registers, and procurement requisitions for critical machinery components
- Supervise third-party mechanical contractors, fabrication workshops, and outsourced repair teams ensuring strict safety SOPs
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- 6 to 8 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably within chemical, polyols, or continuous process plants
- Deep technical expertise in pumps, compressors, boilers, gearboxes, distillation columns, and piping networks
- Demonstrated ability to lead plant shutdown maintenance, fabrication, and turnaround overhauls
- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, safety adherence, and interdepartmental coordination capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and industrial safety certifications
