Assistant Manager – Sourcing & Merchandising
About the Role
Image Pakistan Limited is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Sourcing and Merchandising at its factory in S.I.T.E. Area, Karachi. The manager will manage fabric and trims sourcing, prepare garment product costings, optimize consumption efficiency, and coordinate pre-production approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end fabric, trims, and accessories sourcing from domestic and international textile suppliers.
- Calculate comprehensive product costings, factoring in fabric yield, embroidery, printing, stitching, and packaging.
- Optimize fabric consumption patterns, width utilization, and minimize cutting room wastage to protect profit margins.
- Track pre-production samples (PPS), size sets, lab dips, and ensure approved specifications are conveyed to factory floors.
- Coordinate across Design, Planning, Production, and Quality teams to ensure on-time delivery of seasonal collections.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5 years of proven sourcing and merchandising experience in retail fashion apparel or textile manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of woven/knit fabrics, embroidery techniques, trim development, and garment production workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for cost modeling, consumption sheets, and order tracking dashboards.
- Superior negotiation, commercial acumen, and multi-supplier coordination capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct merchandising experience with leading Pakistani women's ethnic and luxury pret brands.
- Familiarity with modern textile ERP software and automated pattern marker making.
