Assistant Manager Taxation
About the Role
Maxim Agri Pvt Ltd is hiring an Assistant Manager Taxation in Lahore. The position handles direct and indirect corporate tax compliance, FBR IRIS filings, PRA returns, customs duty assessments, and deferred taxation (IAS 12) in SAP Business One.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure corporate compliance with federal and provincial tax laws including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Federal Excise Duty (FED).
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns on FBR IRIS and provincial revenue portals (PRA/SRB).
- Manage withholding tax (WHT) calculations, monthly CPR generation, and annual corporate income tax returns.
- Supervise accounting for taxes under IFRS, including current tax provisions and deferred tax computations (IAS 12).
- Handle tax audit notices, prepare reconciliations, and represent the company before tax assessing officers.
- Operate SAP Business One, verifying tax coding, electronic invoicing, and general ledger tax reconciliations.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- CA Inter, ACCA Member, ACMA, or Master's in Commerce / Taxation.
- 3–5 years of dedicated corporate taxation experience, preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing.
- In-depth command of Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, and provincial revenue acts.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP Business One and FBR IRIS e-filing systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and audit representation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed articleship from a recognized Chartered Accountancy firm.
- Experience with FBR digital e-invoicing implementation.
