About the Role
University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore is inviting Punjab-domiciled candidates for the post of Assistant Professor (BS-19) at the Institute of AI, ML and Cyber Security / Institute of Data Sciences. The faculty member delivers cutting-edge instruction and supervises advanced AI research.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver rigorous undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Cyber Security.
- Design, update, and modernize curricula aligned with international computing standards and National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).
- Supervise graduate research dissertations, undergraduate capstone AI projects, and practical laboratory sessions.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, publishing peer-reviewed papers in prestigious impact-factor journals.
- Secure external research funding and industry sponsorship for artificial intelligence and data science initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental administration, examination conduct, and institutional accreditation committees.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an HEC-recognized university.
- Fulfillment of official HEC faculty appointment criteria for Assistant Professor (BS-19).
- Demonstrated programming mastery in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Strong publication track record in international peer-reviewed journals or top-tier AI conferences.
- Punjab Domicile is mandatory as per university recruitment rules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-doctoral research or industry experience in applied AI / LLMs / Computer Vision.
- Prior university teaching experience in accredited computing departments.
