About the Role
Riphah International University Lahore Campus is hiring an academic leader for the dual role of Assistant Professor and Head of Department (HOD) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics. The role oversees curriculum development, postgraduate research, faculty mentoring, and departmental growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and administer the Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics at the Lahore Campus.
- Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate academic curricula in full alignment with Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines.
- Deliver rigorous lectures, seminars, and clinical lab sessions in specialized dietetics and nutritional sciences.
- Supervise student research dissertations, capstone projects, and clinical internship placements.
- Foster a high-impact research culture, publishing scholarly articles in indexed journals and securing research grants.
- Manage departmental faculty recruitment, workload distribution, performance appraisals, and academic accreditation.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- PhD degree in Human Nutrition, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, or closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
- Fulfillment of HEC eligibility criteria for the position of Assistant Professor / Department Head.
- Demonstrated record of teaching, research publications, and clinical nutrition leadership.
- Proven departmental administration, team leadership, and academic mentoring abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited for higher education institutional governance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist credential with clinical experience.
- Prior administrative experience as HOD or Program Coordinator in an HEC-accredited institution.
