Associate Quality Engineer (P1 – QA/QC)
About the Role
Haier Pakistan is looking for a quality-driven Associate Quality Engineer (P1) for its manufacturing industrial complex in Lahore. The engineer will ensure rigorous product quality inspection, manage rework/rejection metrics, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement ISO quality control standards on assembly lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming components, semi-finished assemblies, and finished home appliances against engineering specifications.
- Monitor daily production line reject ratios, rework logs, and execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on defect spikes.
- Enforce Engineering Change Notices (ECN), first-sample approvals, and precision calibration of measurement gauges.
- Conduct daily Finished Goods (FG) audits and weekly Batch Rejection Defects (BRD) reviews with production heads.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and maintain continuous adherence to ISO 9001 quality systems.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Management from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Practical mastery of 7 QC tools, 8D problem solving, FMEA, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Valid PEC registration for engineering graduates.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to handle shop-floor quality interventions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior QA/QC experience in white goods, consumer appliances, or automotive assembly plants.
- Certification as an ISO 9001 internal auditor or Six Sigma Green Belt.
