Ball Mill Operator - Calcium Carbonate Plant
About the Role
Bin Rasheed Group is hiring an experienced Ball Mill Operator for its Calcium Carbonate manufacturing facility in Sundar Industrial Estate, Lahore. The operator manages ball mill grinding, air classifiers, feeding systems, and product fineness parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and regulate industrial ball mills, rotary feeders, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, and air classifier systems.
- Monitor grinding parameters, motor load amperages, feed rates, and grinding media charge to optimize output.
- Perform periodic fineness and sieve testing to ensure calcium carbonate powder meets strict micron specifications.
- Conduct autonomous maintenance inspections, bearing lubrication, and report mechanical vibrations or anomalies.
- Maintain safe working conditions around high-voltage mill drives, dust collection baghouses, and pneumatic lines.
- Maintain accurate hourly production logs, throughput figures, and power consumption metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or Matric with technical experience.
- 2–5 years of operating experience with industrial ball mills in cement, calcium carbonate, mineral grinding, or ceramics plants.
- Solid knowledge of powder grinding mechanics, classifier adjustments, and pneumatic conveying systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and adherence to industrial safety and dust protection standards.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules in an industrial plant environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with European or Chinese fine-grinding ball mill systems.
- Training in industrial 5S and preventive maintenance practices.
