About the Role
Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a seasoned Branch Manager in Karachi to lead branch commercial growth, manage wealth management portfolios, and uphold rigorous AML/regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all branch commercial sales, customer acquisition, and deposit growth initiatives across consumer and priority banking.
- Lead, mentor, and coach branch Relationship Managers and operational staff to achieve strategic KPI milestones.
- Develop high-value relationships with HNIs, business banking clients, and corporate executive customers.
- Enforce zero-tolerance Anti-Money Laundering (AML), KYC, and Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) compliance.
- Oversee branch audit readiness, operational risk controls, and exceptional client service standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 6–10 years of retail banking experience, including at least 3 years in a branch managerial role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Prudential Regulations and AML guidelines.
- Proven track record of deposit mobilization, wealth sales, and team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior multinational banking experience managing Priority or Wealth Management branches.
