About the Role
Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Islamabad – Rawalpindi is recruiting a qualified Building Inspector for its Town Planning Directorate. The inspector enforces DHA building byelaws, conducts stage-wise structural inspections of residential and commercial plazas, and verifies green card parameters for occupation NOCs.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce DHA construction byelaws across assigned sectors, monitoring active construction against unauthorized deviations.
- Execute stage-wise inspections of houses and commercial plazas as per approved architectural drawings and green card SOPs.
- Inspect completed buildings for issuance of Completion Certificates, Occupation NOCs, and property transfer clearances.
- Coordinate with the Planning Directorate for initial plot demarcations and verify compliance with boundary setbacks.
- Ensure proper installation of rooftop solar panel mounting structures and safety masking (green cloth/CGI sheets).
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Technology from a recognized technical board.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant on-site construction inspection and town planning enforcement experience.
- Thorough practical knowledge of building byelaws, structural drawings, and municipal compliance standards.
- Strong report drafting, site documentation, and professional communication skills.
- Disciplined, firm, and transparent professional conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior inspection experience with reputable housing authorities (DHA, CDA, RDA, Bahria).
- Familiarity with digital survey tools and computerized building plan verification.
