About the Role
Mahr Textiles is hiring a newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) at its industrial manufacturing unit on Daska Road, Sialkot. The accountant oversees financial reporting, manufacturing cost accounting, export tax refunds, and internal audit controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise complete corporate accounting, period-end closings, and preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements.
- Implement comprehensive manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, and raw material variance tracking.
- Oversee export taxation matters, FBR duty drawback claims, sales tax refunds, and foreign currency proceeds realization.
- Establish internal audit mechanisms, inventory control checks, and cash flow forecasting routines.
- Liaise with external audit partners and tax authorities during statutory audits and corporate reviews.
- Prepare executive financial dashboards and financial viability analyses for machinery investments.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / CA from ICAP).
- Completed mandatory 3.5 years articleship training from a reputable chartered accountancy firm (Big 4 preferred).
- Working knowledge of textile, sportswear, or garment manufacturing operations.
- Thorough command over International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corporate income tax laws.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP financial modules and financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to Sialkot/Daska.
- Experience handling export refinance schemes (ERF) and SBP regulatory reporting.
