Counter Service Officer (CSO) Trainee
About the Role
Soneri Bank Limited is inviting ambitious graduates to join its Counter Service Officer (CSO) Traineeship Program 2026 in Karachi. Selected candidates undergo intensive branch banking training to manage retail cash transactions, customer servicing, and teller operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process retail banking transactions including cash deposits, withdrawals, utility bill payments, and cheque clearances.
- Maintain complete balancing of daily physical cash registers and reconcile vault registers under dual custody.
- Handle customer service inquiries with courtesy and speed, providing accurate account information.
- Verify cheque signatures, instruments authenticity, and enforce KYC/AML customer identity checks.
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell bank products including debit cards, mobile banking, and deposit products.
- Comply strictly with State Bank of Pakistan banking guidelines and internal branch security procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Graduation (14 to 16 years education) in Commerce, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or Economics.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of retail customer service experience.
- Strong numerical accuracy, cash counting skills, and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal communication and computer proficiency.
- Age not exceeding 28 years on the application deadline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and retail banking terminology.
- Strong desire to build a long-term banking career.
