Counter Teller – Foreign Currency Exchange
About the Role
Royal International Exchange (Pvt) Ltd is hiring an honest and meticulous Counter Teller for its foreign currency exchange branch in Rawalpindi. The teller executes over-the-counter currency buying and selling transactions, handles cash balances, and ensures State Bank of Pakistan compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute retail foreign currency purchase and sale transactions accurately at official prevailing exchange rates.
- Verify currency notes for authenticity and count cash accurately to avoid any till discrepancies.
- Enter transactions into the branch exchange management software and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Comply strictly with SBP foreign exchange regulations, biometric verification, and customer CNIC documentation.
- Balance daily cash drawer receipts and reconcile end-of-day currency ledgers with the branch manager.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Minimum Intermediate / HSSC qualification; Bachelor's degree (B.Com / BA) preferred.
- Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant cash handling, cashier, or currency exchange experience.
- Basic computer literacy, numeracy, and fast keyboard data entry skills.
- Polite customer handling manner and disciplined work ethics.
- Trustworthy individual with strong references and clean personal background.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a licensed exchange company or commercial bank branch.
- Basic understanding of SBP exchange regulations and AML/CFT customer identification requirements.
