Deputy Manager – Compliance & Revenue Assurance
About the Role
K-Electric Limited is seeking a proactive Deputy Manager – Compliance in its Distribution Division in Karachi. The role focuses on revenue assurance, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) smart meter analytics, procedural compliance audits, and eliminating revenue leakage across power distribution clusters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive billing compliance audits across Integrated Business Centres (IBCs) to detect unbilled revenue and metering anomalies.
- Analyze Smart Meter scalar reads, AMI load profiles, and Head-End System (HES) data to identify distribution losses and power theft.
- Execute targeted field verification visits to corroborate analytical observations and ensure corrective billing adjustments.
- Develop executive dashboards, compliance trackers, and automated workflows using Power BI and SAP-ISU.
- Collaborate with Cluster Heads, IT, Legal, and Regulatory teams to institutionalize robust risk-based controls.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) OR Professional Accountant (CA/ACCA/CMA) OR MBA.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of proven experience in internal audit, compliance assurance, revenue assurance, or utility billing operations.
- Strong analytical proficiency in advanced Excel, Power BI dashboards, and enterprise systems (SAP-ISU preferred).
- Firm grasp of risk-based audit methodologies, internal control frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent logical reasoning, investigative mindset, and cross-functional stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience working with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), MDMS, and smart electronic meters.
- Knowledge of NEPRA consumer service manuals and utility regulatory standards.
