Deputy Manager – Mechanical Planning
About the Role
Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited is hiring a dynamic Deputy Manager – Mechanical (Planning) for its plant operations at Iskanderabad, Mianwali. The position oversees mechanical maintenance scheduling, annual kiln shutdown planning, spare parts budgeting, and equipment reliability optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate preventive, predictive, and major overhaul maintenance plans for heavy cement machinery, kilns, and raw mills.
- Lead major plant shutdown planning, scheduling critical-path tasks, contractor requirements, and resource allocations.
- Establish spare parts inventory parameters, PR creation, technical evaluation scoring, and PO expediting.
- Manage spare parts inventory to eliminate dead stock while ensuring 100% availability of critical running components.
- Supervise Material Gate Passes (ROGP/OGP), Store Requisitions (SRF), and coordinate maintenance cost reduction drives.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BSc / BE in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with valid PEC registration.
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in mechanical maintenance planning and spare parts management in heavy continuous processing plants.
- Sound technical knowledge of pyroprocessing systems, vertical roller mills, ball mills, crushers, and material handling systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS / SAP PM) and MS Project.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and maintenance cost optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct mechanical planning experience within a modern dry-process cement manufacturing plant.
- Willingness to reside at the Iskanderabad cement plant township in Mianwali.
