Deputy Manager – Materials Management & Coordination (MMC)
About the Role
Sapphire Diamond Fabrics Limited is hiring a detail-oriented Deputy Manager – MMC for its site in Feroze Wattwan, Sheikhupura. The incumbent will manage the procurement, trim sheets, and timely arrival of garment accessories and trims from domestic and international suppliers to meet stringent export production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review trim sheets, customer garment specifications, and coordinate accessories requirements with Merchandising.
- Supervise sampling, quality approval, and cost-effective supplier selection for domestic and imported trims.
- Issue Purchase Orders, evaluate proforma invoices, and negotiate commercial terms with international suppliers.
- Manage import clearing documentation, TT payments, GRPOs, debit/credit notes, and customs clearance coordination.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to maintain uninterrupted production floor schedules.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Textile Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in garment trims and accessories procurement within the textile or apparel industry.
- Strong negotiation, commercial costing, and international supplier management abilities.
- Proficiency in textile ERP platforms, MS Excel, and inventory tracking tools.
- Demonstrated ability to meet rapid garment manufacturing turnaround times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with export apparel compliance guidelines and global retail customer standards (e.g. Levi's, Zara).
- Willingness to work on-site at Feroze Wattwan, Sheikhupura.
