Director / Lead Enterprise Architecture
About the Role
The Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) invites visionary digital architects to lead Enterprise Architecture for Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in Islamabad, architecting secure, interoperable government digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define national Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) architectural frameworks, open API standards, and interoperability protocols
- Design enterprise data architectures, cross-departmental integration frameworks, and national identity-layer connectors
- Guide government ministries on microservices architectures, cloud adoption, cybersecurity baselines, and data governance
- Evaluate emerging technology trends (AI, blockchain, privacy-preserving computation) for nationwide public service rollout
- Collaborate with international digital governance bodies, tech vendors, and regulatory entities to enforce digital standards
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree (16 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of professional IT experience, including at least 5 years leading enterprise architecture for large-scale platforms
- Deep expertise in TOGAF, microservices architecture, API gateways, cloud infrastructures, and digital identity systems
- Demonstrated ability to architect high-throughput, secure, mission-critical public sector systems
- Exceptional technical leadership, strategic vision, and policy stakeholder communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF 9/10 certified architect with experience architecting national digital public platforms or fintech rails
