Finance Officer
About the Role
Image Pakistan Limited (renowned fashion brand) is hiring a Finance Officer at its Karachi corporate office. The role oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and retail financial transaction verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) workflows.
- Reconcile daily point-of-sale (POS) retail store collections, credit card settlements, and bank statements.
- Verify supplier bills against purchase orders and goods receipt notes, preparing timely payment runs.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and support senior accountants with month-end financial closing.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and statutory external reviews.
- Liaise with retail branch managers and commercial banks regarding merchant processing and fee structures.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), BBA (Finance), or BS Accounting & Finance.
- 2–3 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in the retail, apparel, or FMCG sector.
- Solid knowledge of basic bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and withholding tax fundamentals.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP software and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail, numerical precision, and team player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Part-qualified ACCA / CMA.
- Hands-on experience in omnichannel fashion retail accounting.
