Head Audit Follow-up & Compliance Department
About the Role
Bank of Khyber (BOK) is seeking an experienced senior banking professional as Head Audit Follow-up & Compliance Department at its Head Office in Peshawar. The executive tracks audit rectifications, validates compliance across branch networks, and reports to the Audit Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Audit Follow-up & Compliance Department across nationwide commercial and Islamic branches.
- Monitor, evaluate, and validate the status of internal and external audit observations, SBP inspection findings, and commercial credit reviews.
- Collaborate with business heads, branch operations, and risk management to ensure timely remediation of high-risk audit lapses.
- Develop executive tracking dashboards and present quarterly compliance progress reports to the Board Audit Committee.
- Conduct on-site validation reviews to verify the genuine closure of recurring operational and credit non-compliances.
- Maintain a centralized repository of audit observations and analyze systemic root causes to improve banking SOPs.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Graduation / Master's degree, or professional certification such as CA Inter / CA Finalist, ICMA, or ACCA Qualified.
- Minimum 7 years of banking experience, with substantial focus on internal audits, compliance follow-up, or corporate credit lending.
- In-depth command of State Bank of Pakistan regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and banking operations.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical thinking, and executive presentation capabilities.
- Superior drafting and correspondence skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
- Prior experience heading audit validation units in a scheduled commercial bank.
