Head of Internal Audit
About the Role
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Headquarters in Islamabad invites applications for Head of Internal Audit to lead nationwide financial, operational, and information system audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the internal audit department across NADRA headquarters and regional registration centers nationwide
- Develop annual risk-based internal audit plans and present comprehensive audit findings to the Board Audit Committee
- Evaluate financial controls, procurement compliance (PPRA rules), and operational workflows across digital citizen services
- Supervise IT and information security audits on national identity databases and civil registration architectures
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations, investigate financial irregularities, and drive corporate governance
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (FCA / ACA from ICAP or ICAEW), Fellow/Associate ACCA, ACMA, or Master's in Finance/Accounting (degrees attested by HEC)
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of post-qualification audit experience, including at least 5 years heading internal audit or in a senior management role
- Extensive knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA), public sector corporate governance, and statutory compliance
- Maximum age limit up to 55 years
- Exemplary professional reputation, integrity, and executive leadership acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with public sector technology audit experience
