Institutional Equity Trader
About the Role
BMA Capital Management Limited is seeking an Institutional Equity Trader to join its trading desk at the Karachi Head Office. The role is responsible for executing large-scale institutional equity orders, providing sales coverage to corporate clients, and capitalizing on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute equity trade orders on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) trading terminal for institutional clients and High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs).
- Deliver proactive daily sales coverage, equity morning briefs, and actionable market ideas derived from research reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mutual funds, pension funds, insurance treasuries, and financial institutions.
- Monitor stock price action, volume liquidity, and market sentiment to achieve best execution for client orders.
- Ensure adherence to SECP capital market regulations, PSX trading bylaws, and corporate risk limits.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline (Intermediate holders with exceptional track record may be considered).
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience on an institutional equity trading desk or reputable brokerage firm.
- Sound understanding of equity market dynamics, order types, technical charting, and fundamental valuation concepts.
- Proficiency in operating PSX trading terminals (KiTS) and financial market platforms.
- High emotional intelligence, quick decision-making under market volatility, and unyielding integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Financial Markets / PSX Certified Trader qualification.
- Established relationships with local institutional fund managers or corporate treasury desks.
