About the Role
Gerry's dnata is hiring a Lead Airport Operations specialist at Islamabad International Airport to direct ground handling services, passenger traffic management, and airside operational safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily ground handling and traffic operations at Islamabad International Airport according to airline SLAs
- Coordinate passenger handling, check-in operations, boarding gate management, and ramp turnaround services
- Ensure strict compliance with IATA regulations, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standards, and airline safety protocols
- Manage airport operational emergencies, irregular flight schedules, flight delays, and baggage mishandling resolutions
- Lead and mentor frontline traffic staff, ensuring high customer service standards and punctuality
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
- Minimum 5 years of airport passenger handling or airside traffic operations experience with an airline or ground handler
- Thorough understanding of airport departure control systems (DCS), IATA safety guidelines, and turnaround processes
- Demonstrated ability to make swift decisions under pressure during fast-paced flight operations
- Strong leadership, situational awareness, and effective team coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Airport Station Operations, or Aviation Security
