About the Role
The University of Gujrat is inviting applications from visionary academicians for regular positions of Lecturer in Computer Science (BPS-18) at its Hafiz Hayat Campus. The lecturer will conduct undergraduate computer science lectures, supervise research projects, and participate in academic governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver rigorous undergraduate lectures and laboratory sessions in core CS disciplines including algorithms, OS, and AI.
- Supervise final year capstone projects, academic research dissertations, and software engineering initiatives.
- Design and revise modern course outlines aligned with HEC and National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) standards.
- Contribute actively to departmental research publications, academic seminars, and conference paper peer reviews.
- Perform academic administrative duties including examination evaluation, student mentoring, and departmental committees.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- MS or M.Phil (first division / 18 years of education) in Computer Science from an HEC-recognized university.
- No third division throughout the academic career (relaxed if holding higher qualification).
- Age limit between 23 to 35 years (general age relaxation admissible under Punjab government rules).
- Valid domicile of Punjab, Pakistan.
- Strong theoretical foundation and practical programming expertise across modern stacks (Python, C++, Java).
Preferred Qualifications
- Published research papers in HEC-recognized indexed journals (Y or X category).
- Prior teaching experience at a chartered university or established higher educational institution.
