Manager – Contract Management (PPRA & Procurement)
About the Role
Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW), a premier state-owned defense and marine engineering enterprise under the Ministry of Defence Production, invites applications for Manager (Contract Management). The role manages public procurement, standard bidding documents, PPRA compliance, contractor performance monitoring, and major naval/industrial contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end administration of commercial and public contracts for shipbuilding, repairs, and heavy engineering projects.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules and standard bidding documents.
- Draft, review, and evaluate tender agreements, subcontract terms, payment milestones, and contractor guarantees.
- Monitor vendor performance, resolve contractual variations or dispute claims, and oversee formal contract closures.
- Liaise with legal advisors, ministry representatives, and external project stakeholders to protect KS&EW interests.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BE / B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Industrial & Management / Automotive / Mechatronics) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8 years' hands-on experience for BE, 10 years for B.Tech, or 15–20 years for DAE candidates in contract management and procurement.
- Expert-level practical command of PPRA Rules, federal bidding documents, and statutory public procurement procedures.
- Maximum age limit of 55 years as of the closing date.
- Pakistani citizenship with exemplary track record of integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional qualification of MBA / BBA (Supply Chain Management or Marketing).
- Professional credentials such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or PMP certification.
