Manager – Exports (International Trade & Logistics)
About the Role
Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASML) is looking for an experienced Manager – Exports at its Head Office on M.T. Khan Road, Karachi. The manager will execute end-to-end export shipments, coordinate production commitments, direct maritime freight logistics, and ensure compliance with international trade documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage confirmed international export orders of cold-rolled and galvanized steel coils through manufacturing and dispatch.
- Negotiate sea freight rates and container slot bookings with international shipping lines and clearing agents.
- Prepare and authenticate critical export shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and Commercial Invoices.
- Liaise with commercial banks for Export E-Form approvals, LC document scrutiny, and prompt export proceed realizations.
- Monitor global steel market price movements, shipping schedules, and provide monthly export execution MIS to executive leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's (16 years) or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or International Trade.
- Proven extensive background in export operations, international freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
- Expert command of Incoterms 2020, trade finance mechanisms (LCs, CAD), and Pakistan Customs export bylaws.
- High proficiency in MS Excel, order management dashboards, and enterprise ERP software.
- Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specific export management experience within the steel manufacturing, metallurgy, or heavy engineering sectors.
- Existing business connections with industrial buyers across the Middle East, Africa, and North America.
