Manager - Fleet & Logistics
About the Role
Imtiaz Group (Pakistan's largest retail supermarket chain) is hiring a Manager Fleet & Logistics in Karachi. The role manages company-owned and third-party transport fleets, delivery route optimization, fuel management, and nationwide retail supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily transportation and distribution operations supplying merchandise to hypermarkets and retail outlets nationwide.
- Manage company-owned vehicle fleets and 3PL transport contractors, negotiating freight contracts and service rates.
- Optimize delivery route planning and vehicle turnarounds using GPS tracking and fleet telematics.
- Monitor fleet operational efficiency, fuel consumption ratios, preventive maintenance schedules, and repair budgets.
- Collaborate with central distribution centers, warehouse managers, and store operations to eliminate delivery delays.
- Ensure compliance with highway safety laws, driver duty hours, vehicle fitness certifications, and goods-in-transit insurance.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 6–10 years of fleet and logistics management experience in large retail chains, FMCG distribution, or 3PL logistics.
- Proven expertise in managing large commercial truck fleets (100+ vehicles) and 3PL vendor networks.
- Proficiency in fleet management software, GPS telematics, ERP supply chain modules, and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership, crisis management, and vendor negotiation capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling temperature-controlled reefer fleet distribution for fresh food retail.
- Certification in logistics and transport management.
