Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
About the Role
Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for its oil and gas field operations to oversee rotary equipment maintenance, turbomachinery, gas compressors, and field overhaul schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive mechanical maintenance on oil & gas production field machinery
- Maintain heavy rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps, reciprocating gas compressors, gas turbines, and generators
- Diagnose mechanical vibration issues, alignment discrepancies, and thermal stress on hydrocarbon process piping
- Plan and execute annual turnaround shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and spare parts requisitioning
- Ensure total compliance with oilfield health, safety, environment (HSE) standards and operating permits
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with valid PEC registration
- 3 to 6 years of mechanical maintenance experience in upstream oil & gas exploration, refineries, or petrochemical facilities
- Demonstrated technical mastery over high-pressure gas compressors, mechanical seals, and process valves
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and mechanical engineering assembly drawings
- Strong leadership, crisis response capability, and readiness to work at remote oilfield sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Vibration Analysis (ISO Category II) or Turbomachinery maintenance
