Mechatronics & Automation Engineer
About the Role
Mahr Textiles (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking for a skilled Mechatronics Engineer at its production facility on Daska Road, Sialkot. The engineer will maintain, troubleshoot, and automate industrial machinery, including high-speed digital textile printing machines, sublimation transfer units, and PLC-controlled systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated sublimation transfer presses, digital printing machines, and packaging equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), servo drives, and industrial sensors.
- Perform regular preventive and breakdown maintenance on pneumatic circuits, hydraulic actuators, and electronic control boards.
- Optimize automated machine speeds, cycle times, and operational reliability to minimize factory production downtime.
- Maintain detailed equipment maintenance logs, spare parts inventories, and enforce strict factory electrical safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BSc in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation from an HEC-recognized university.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on mechatronics maintenance experience in a modern manufacturing plant.
- Strong technical proficiency with PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Delta), HMIs, pneumatic actuators, and electronic sensors.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex electromechanical machine failures and execute swift repairs.
- Valid PEC registration and team-player mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in textile printing, sublimation, or sportswear apparel manufacturing.
- Familiarity with industrial robotics, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and SCADA systems.
