MEP Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing)
About the Role
DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi invites applications from qualified MEP Engineers in Islamabad. The engineer supervises building MEP installations, HVAC networks, firefighting systems, electrical substations, and plumbing infrastructure across prestigious DHA housing and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, plumbing networks, firefighting systems, and electrical distribution.
- Review MEP shop drawings, clash detection models, technical submittals, and specifications against design blueprints.
- Inspect mechanical equipment (chillers, pumps, cooling towers) and electrical panels (transformers, generators, switchgear) on site.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply strictly with DHA construction bylaws, NFPA standards, and international building codes.
- Verify contractor interim measurement sheets, bill of quantities (BOQ), and material test certificates.
- Coordinate with civil and architectural site engineers to ensure seamless service integration and zero site clashes.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a PEC-accredited institution.
- 5–8 years of practical MEP site execution and supervision experience in multi-story commercial buildings or modern housing complexes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and low-voltage electrical infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and reading complex multidisciplinary engineering drawings.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Revit MEP / BIM clash detection workflows.
- Prior supervisory experience on mega real estate developments in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
