About the Role
MCB Islamic Bank is hiring an Officer Phone Banking specialized in Pakistan Sign Language (PSL) in Lahore to provide inclusive video banking and customer service for deaf and hard-of-hearing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide video call banking assistance to deaf and hard-of-hearing customers using Pakistan Sign Language (PSL)
- Guide customers through account balance inquiries, debit card activations, Raast funds transfers, and app troubleshooting
- Ensure adherence to SBP guidelines regarding financial inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities
- Document customer requests in CRM banking software and follow up on customer complaints until resolution
- Collaborate with branch banking and digital banking teams to enhance accessibility across Islamic banking services
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with preference for Special Education, Social Sciences, or related discipline
- Demonstrated fluency in Pakistan Sign Language (PSL) (certified interpreters, SODA, or CODA candidates encouraged to apply)
- High empathy, customer service orientation, and active listening capabilities
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital banking platforms
- Ability to work effectively in a contact center environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Pakistan Sign Language (PSL) from a recognized institute and prior banking/customer service exposure
