Plant Instrumentation & Control Engineer
About the Role
Fatima Group is hiring a Plant Instrumentation & Control Engineer at its flagship fertilizer complex near Multan. The role maintains automated DCS control loops, safety instrumented systems (SIS), gas analyzers, and field transmitters for world-scale chemical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell / Emerson DCS, Triconex SIS, and turbine supervisory instrumentation.
- Perform calibration, loop checks, and preventive maintenance of control valves, smart transmitters, and gas chromatography analyzers.
- Participate in plant turnaround planning, shutdown maintenance, and machinery protection system overhauls.
- Investigate instrumentation failures, root-cause process trips, and execute engineering management of change (MOC).
- Manage spare parts inventory, calibration laboratory standards, and instrumentation test benches.
- Comply strictly with Process Safety Management (PSM), OSHA standards, and corporate environmental directives.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3–6 years of hands-on instrumentation and DCS experience in a continuous chemical process, fertilizer, or refinery plant.
- Solid knowledge of SIL ratings, functional safety, and hazardous area classification.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
- High analytical mindset and technical troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS or Emerson DeltaV systems.
- TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer certification.
