Pre-Junior Teacher (Early Years)
About the Role
The City School is hiring a compassionate Pre-Junior Teacher at its Maymar Campus in Karachi to nurture early childhood cognitive development, deliver child-centered learning, and support holistic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate pedagogical activities for early years and nursery students
- Foster foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and fine motor skills through interactive play-based learning
- Maintain a safe, caring, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment aligned with Cambridge Early Years frameworks
- Assess and document each child's academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progression
- Maintain open, collaborative communication with parents through regular academic updates and parent-teacher meetings
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- 16 years of education (Bachelor's / Master's) in Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, or related field
- 1 to 3 years of teaching experience in a reputable school or early childhood learning center
- Deep understanding of child psychology, early childhood development milestones, and modern teaching methodologies
- ITEP clearance or willingness to complete mandatory institutional certifications
- Warm personality, patience, and excellent spoken and written English communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Montessori Diploma or EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) teaching certification
