Procurement Executive (Agri & Animal Feed)
About the Role
Maxim Agri (Pvt) Ltd is hiring a motivated Procurement Executive at its feed production plant in Khanewal, Punjab. The executive will oversee strategic sourcing of agricultural raw materials, grains, feed additives, and manage inbound logistics for dairy and livestock feed manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source agricultural raw materials including corn, wheat bran, soybean meal, molasses, and nutritional feed premixes.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and issue purchase orders to local and regional grain traders.
- Coordinate inbound truck logistics and freight operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant delivery schedules.
- Inspect quality testing reports with plant laboratory teams, verifying grain moisture, purity, and nutritional standards.
- Maintain procurement records, track vendor payables, and generate monthly purchasing cost savings reports.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, or Commerce.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the animal feed, dairy, grain trading, or agri-commodities industry.
- Strong commercial acumen, market negotiation skills, and understanding of local grain markets (Mandi economics).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized inventory/ERP systems.
- Willingness to be stationed full-time at the manufacturing facility in Khanewal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct relationships with grain merchants and feed ingredient suppliers across Punjab.
- Knowledge of animal feed formulation requirements and laboratory test parameters.
