About the Role
The Institute of Education and Research at University of the Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore is inviting applications from eminent scholars for the statutory faculty post of Professor of Education (BS-21). The post requires a PhD and distinguished scholarly record under HEC criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary academic and research leadership at the Institute of Education and Research (IER).
- Teach advanced doctoral and postgraduate courses in educational philosophy, research methodologies, and instructional design.
- Supervise M.Phil and Ph.D. dissertations, mentoring emerging academic scholars.
- Publish high-impact original research articles in HEC-recognized W and X category journals.
- Lead national educational policy advisory panels, curriculum revamps, and research grant proposals.
- Participate actively in university statutory bodies including the Academic Council, Board of Studies, and Faculty Board.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Ph.D. in Education from an HEC-recognized university or accredited international institution.
- 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institution.
- Fulfillment of mandatory HEC publications threshold (minimum 15 research publications in recognized journals, with at least 5 in the last 5 years).
- Demonstrated academic leadership, departmental administration, and doctoral supervision record.
- Citizen of Pakistan fulfilling Punjab University statutory service statutes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-doctoral research experience from a leading foreign university.
- Proven record as Principal Investigator on international competitive research grants.
