Project Manager - Building Works & Engineering
About the Role
Islamabad Marriott Hotel is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Civil / Building Works) in Islamabad. The engineer directs luxury hotel facility renovations, architectural upgrades, MEP integration, project budgets, and contractor teams in a five-star hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct capital building works, guest room renovations, banquet overhauls, and infrastructure modernization across the 5-star hotel.
- Manage project timelines, engineering milestones, and cost budgeting to prevent cost overruns and operational disruptions.
- Supervise civil contractors, interior fit-out specialists, and MEP engineering teams on site.
- Ensure all architectural finishes and installations conform strictly to Marriott International luxury brand standards.
- Review contractor measurement sheets, variations, progress billings, and enforce zero defect completion.
- Enforce rigorous health, safety, fire life safety (FLS), and noise control measures in an active luxury guest environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Master's in Construction Management from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in building works and architectural renovations, preferably in luxury 5-star hotels or high-end commercial projects.
- In-depth mastery of construction project scheduling (MS Project/Primavera P6), budgeting, and interior fit-outs.
- Strong coordination ability with international architects, MEP consultants, and hotel operations leaders.
- Outstanding leadership, crisis management, and contractor negotiation capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior project leadership experience with international hotel chains.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
