QC Chemist
About the Role
Tufail Chemical Industries Limited (TCIL) is hiring a QC Chemist at its Port Qasim manufacturing plant in Karachi to test chemical raw materials, perform in-process quality testing, and issue dispatch Certificates of Analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wet chemical testing and physical property checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished chemicals
- Inspect incoming bulk raw material tankers and outgoing filled chemical containers and drums against quality criteria
- Prepare official Certificates of Analysis (COA) for product dispatches in accordance with customer specifications
- Calibrate laboratory glassware, analytical balances, pH meters, and refractometers
- Maintain rigorous quality control test records, batch test certificates, and chemical lab safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related science discipline
- 1 to 2 years of quality control testing experience in a chemical manufacturing or processing plant
- Familiarity with standard chemical testing methods, titrations, density, viscosity, and moisture analysis
- Strong attention to detail, laboratory safety awareness, and technical report writing
- Residence in or willingness to commute to Port Qasim, Steel Town, Malir, Landhi, or Korangi
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial resins, surfactants, specialty chemicals, or plasticizer analysis
