Senior Site Engineer (Civil)
About the Role
Pakistan Infrastructure Development Company Limited (PIDCL), under the Ministry of Housing & Works, Government of Pakistan, is recruiting a Senior Site Engineer (Civil) for project-based infrastructure works in Islamabad. The engineer leads site execution, structural quality, and contractor supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction, structural frameworks, finishing works, and infrastructure utilities on government project sites.
- Ensure execution complies rigorously with structural design drawings, PEC specifications, and building codes.
- Review contractor material test certificates, concrete pour records, and compaction logs to maintain zero defect quality.
- Verify interim payment certificates (IPC), measurement sheets, and bills of quantities submitted by contractors.
- Monitor construction schedules against Primavera P6 / MS Project milestones, identifying delays and initiating catch-up plans.
- Enforce comprehensive occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the construction site.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Sc.) from an HEC/PEC-accredited university.
- Minimum 7–10 years of site engineering experience in major multi-story building construction or public infrastructure projects.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, concrete technology, rebar placement, and structural testing.
- Sound experience reviewing contractor measurement sheets, bar bending schedules, and variation orders.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as Professional Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on public sector infrastructure or housing authority projects in Islamabad.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction management tools.
