Tourism Inspector
About the Role
The Department of Tourist Services (DTS) Punjab is hiring young, energetic Tourism Inspectors on contract basis to serve in the newly established Punjab Tourism Force across scenic and heritage locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, and tourist facilities under DTS regulatory standards
- Patrol prominent historical, archaeological, and cultural tourist destinations to ensure tourist safety and security
- Enforce tourist regulations, investigate complaints related to overcharging or mistreatment, and maintain field logs
- Assist domestic and international tourists with travel guidance, safety information, and emergency liaison
- Coordinate with local district administrations, rescue services, and law enforcement agencies
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- 16 years of Education (2nd Division or 2.5 CGPA) from an HEC-recognized university
- Physical standards: Height 5'6" (Male) / 5'2" (Female); Chest 33-34.5" (Male); Eye Vision 6/6
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification professional experience in relevant field
- Age Limit: 25 to 30 years with Punjab domicile
- Strong physical fitness, disciplined demeanor, and fluent communication in English and Urdu
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Archaeology, Public Administration, or previous security/enforcement experience
