Television & Digital Media Producer
About the Role
Express Media Group is looking for an experienced Producer to lead television broadcasts and digital media programming in Karachi. The producer will oversee end-to-end studio production, live transmissions, news rundowns, script development, and video post-production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end production of current affairs shows, news transmissions, and digital video documentaries.
- Coordinate with scriptwriters, video editors, camera directors, sound engineers, and on-air anchors.
- Supervise live studio control room (PCR) broadcasts, managing satellite feeds, teleprompter rundowns, and graphics.
- Develop innovative show formats, researched debate packages, and engaging video concepts for digital channels.
- Manage production budgets, filming schedules, shooting logistics, and ensure strict compliance with broadcast standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Film & TV Production, or Journalism.
- Minimum 3 years of proven production experience in satellite television news channels or prominent digital media studios.
- Thorough command of live production control room workflows, newsroom software, and video editing standards.
- Strong journalistic sense, narrative storytelling capability, and composure during breaking news situations.
- Excellent leadership, project coordination, and team management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated portfolio of successful television current affairs programs or viral digital documentary series.
- Familiarity with digital content algorithms and multiplatform broadcast distribution.
