Vigilance Officer - Security
About the Role
Aisha Steel Mills Limited (Arif Habib Group) is hiring a Vigilance Officer – Security at its Port Qasim steel manufacturing plant in Karachi to supervise industrial plant security, surveillance, and gate access control.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise plant security operations, gate access controls, and surveillance across Port Qasim factory premises
- Inspect incoming and outgoing commercial trucks, heavy trailers, scrap shipments, and finished steel coil vehicles
- Manage and evaluate outsourced security guards, ensuring perimeter alertness, weapon discipline, and shift patrols
- Investigate security infractions, material pilferage, theft incidents, and write comprehensive vigilance reports
- Coordinate plant emergency evacuation procedures, fire safety readiness, and maintain electronic security logs
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience, Intermediate with 13 years, or Matriculation with 15 years experience
- Background in the Armed Forces (JCO / NCO retired) or Civil Defense / Law Enforcement strongly preferred
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and security gate management systems) is mandatory
- Strong observational skills, physical fitness, disciplined demeanor, and integrity
- Residence in or willingness to commute to Port Qasim, Steel Town, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, or Malir
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security experience in steel mills, heavy industrial complexes, or chemical plants
