Water Supply & Drainage Design Engineer
About the Role
Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited is recruiting a Water Supply/Drainage Design Engineer in Karachi to design water infrastructure, industrial plumbing, and hydrological drainage for power and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute complete plumbing, water supply, and surface/stormwater drainage engineering designs according to ASME and IPC standards
- Perform hydraulic modeling, stormwater runoff calculations, and flood risk assessments using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
- Perform sizing calculations and technical specifications for industrial piping, pumps, control valves, and storage tanks
- Generate detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and procurement packages
- Coordinate seamlessly across civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering disciplines for infrastructure projects
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited university (PEC registered)
- 3 to 4 years of proven design experience in water supply, industrial drainage, and hydraulic modeling
- Prior engineering design experience in power plants, renewable energy parks, or major infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in engineering software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, QGIS, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS
- Familiarity with international design codes such as USBR, FHWA, USDA, USACE, and International Plumbing Code (IPC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on mega energy projects with multinational EPC contractors in Pakistan or overseas
