Accountant (BPS-16) & Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11)
About the Role
Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is hiring on regular positions for Accountant (BPS-16) and Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11) for Balochistan quota at HEC Headquarters, Islamabad.
Key Responsibilities
- Process scholarship disbursements, university research grant reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, statutory audit schedules, and bank reconciliation statements.
- Maintain official dispatch registers, computer typing of memoranda, and student inquiry handling.
- Undertake digital record archiving on HEC e-office software and document tracking modules.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- For Accountant (BPS-16): B.Com / BBA from an HEC-recognized university with 3 years relevant service experience in govt/autonomous bodies.
- For LDC (BPS-11): Matriculation with minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. (3-week Basic IT course required after selection).
- Age limits: 21–30 years for Accountant; 18–25 years for LDC (General age relaxation + 5-year Balochistan dispensation applicable).
- Balochistan Provincial Domicile Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SAP / ERP accounting modules and government financial rules.
