Accounts Executive
About the Role
Bata Pakistan Ltd is seeking an Accounts Executive to join its Finance team in Lahore. The position handles financial reporting, month-end reconciliations, retail financial controls, and statutory audit coordination for a leading footwear brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, divisional cost sheets, and variance analysis reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing schedules, journal entries, accruals, and prepayment calculations.
- Reconcile retail store daily sales collections, POS data, bank deposits, and credit card settlements.
- Process vendor invoices, verify goods received notes (GRN), and ensure accurate supplier payment scheduling.
- Coordinate with statutory external auditors, pulling evidentiary schedules and answering audit queries.
- Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and IFRS reporting guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- Article-completed CA (ICAP), ACCA Member/Affiliate, or ACMA finalist.
- 1–2 years of post-qualification/post-articleship experience in accounting, financial reporting, or statutory audit.
- Solid command of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and retail finance controls.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data lookups, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet strict month-end deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working with SAP or Oracle ERP financial modules.
- Audit experience from a top-tier chartered accountancy firm.
