About the Role
Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is hiring an Assistant Director IT (Network Engineer, EG-01) in Karachi under Defined Contribution Scheme to oversee mission-critical airport IT networks and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot airport corporate IT networks, LAN/WAN backbones, and airport communication systems.
- Configure and monitor L2/L3 protocols, IP routing, switching, TCP/IP (v4/v6), and secure network segments.
- Implement network cybersecurity measures, monitor threat advisories, and mitigate potential infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Resolve network faults and service desk complaints across airport passenger and administrative terminals.
- Maintain detailed network architecture documentation, IP schemas, and disaster recovery configurations.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements
- BS/BE in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Information Technology (Min 16 Years Education) with at least 2nd Division.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in managing corporate IT networks.
- Thorough technical understanding of enterprise network protocols and security frameworks.
- Maximum age: 33 years (plus government age relaxation rules).
Preferred Qualifications
- Active network professional certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIS).
